水泥撒布車主要分為粉料撒布車和水泥凈漿灑布車兩大類，適用于不同的施工場景。

粉料撒布車適用于公路現場冷再生工程或路基穩定土施工，需要撒布的是干燥的水泥粉、石灰粉或粉煤灰。其工作原理是：粉體倉儲存待撒布的粉料，位于倉底部的給料螺旋輸送機將粉料持續供應地輸送到撒布裝置，按照設定的寬度與厚度均勻撒布在施工路面上。粉料撒布車通常配備巨大的粉料倉和螺旋輸送系統，并配有除塵裝置，避免施工揚塵。撒鋪寬度范圍通常在0.8至2.5米之間，以0.8米為單位任意調節；每平方米撒布量可在1至40公斤之間任意調節。

水泥凈漿灑布車則適用于穩定層分層施工時上下層之間的水泥凈漿灑布。其主要應用于高等級公路施工，在底基層水穩和上層水穩之間灑布一層水泥漿，利用水泥漿的粘結力增加水穩的整體性，從而提高公路基層的穩定性和整體強度。傳統施工中，水泥凈漿灑布主要靠人力完成，存在人力投入大、灑布效果差、安全隱患多等缺陷。
